[SOLVED] New computer, wrong password after setup?

bANONYMOUS

I just bought an Alienware Aurora R6, I opted for Windows 10 Pro during the build process on their site, just got the computer the other day, set it all up, running mint, downloaded all my steam games, went to bed for work in the morning, after work the next day i go to use the computer and it's telling me incorrect password for my local account (I don't use the online account feature), so I try like 42 times and it locks me out finally, so I figured, screw it, I'll just use a pirated copy of Windows 10 Pro, and use the serial number that came with the computer, make a GPT USB drive with Rufus, disable secure boot in BIOS, do a UEFI install, after install reaches the setup I turned it off, go back to BIOS, enable secure boot so I don't forget later, set it all up again, system update because pirated copy of Windows 10 pro wasn't up to date, restart, same issue, password in correct, so, try it again, third time's the charm right? Same process, password is the space bar now, don't even touch anything after set up, just a straight reboot, incorrect password..

Just for curiosity, I wiped my old computer using the identical USB drive, works perfect, original password works after reboot, so this is specifically an Alienware issue I'm thinking, or a hardware issue.

I'm going to try it again when I'm home from work without a password at all and see what happens there, but I need a password on my computer before I can use it for security due to the work files I keep on it.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

I also tried removing the password through CMD and it won't remove it either.

Well, turns out after setting it up without a password worked, it allowed me to restart without issue, I then put a password on the local account through settings, rebooted, and the password works now, so I guess if anyone else runs into this issue, that worked for me.

Install without local account password, after install is complete, apply password through settings and it's fine so it must be something to do with the setup/hardware of this computer that isn't allowing the password to be recognized correctly after reboot.

Everything I've read about this issue says you can just remove the password for the local account using CMD, log in without a password once removed, and then set a new password again and it should work fine, and this is all related to the Creators Update for everything I've found about this issue.
