Transferring data from Windows 7 boot SSD onto new (Kaby Lake) build

Long story short, mobo in my rig died and there is a handful of data from the Windows 7 boot SSD that I would like to transfer to my new Kaby Lake build.

 

What's the best way to do that? Can I just put the SSD into my new build and boot from the SSD or will that cause problems?
