$2800 CAD budget. Must be Intel-based.

I'm looking to build a $2800 CAD gaming PC. It must be based around the Intel Core i7 7700K as from what I've seen it's still the best CPU for gaming right now even after Ryzen came out. Anything else is fine. I can go slightly above $2800 to $2850 if needed, but not anything higher. PCPartPicker lists are preferred. :)

PC Specifications:

CPU: Intel Core i7 13700K

Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 chromax.black

Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix Z790-E Gaming Wi-Fi

Memory: 32GB Trident Z5 RGB DDR5 7200 MHz CL34 @ 7600 MHz

GPU: AMD Radeon™ RX 7900 XTX (ASUS TUF Gaming OC Edition)

Storage: 2 TB Western Digital SN850X, 1 TB Western Digital SN850, 2 TB Seagate Momentus SpinPoint M9T

Power Supply: Corsair RM850x (2021)

Case: Fractal Design Torrent (white, non-RGB)

Monitor: TCL 55R617

Keyboard: Razer Blackwidow V3 (Quartz)

Mouse: Razer Viper Ultimate Wireless

DAC & Amp: Schiit Modi+ & Schiit Magni+

Headphones: Philips Fidelio X2HR

You in Stampede or E-town?

You can go to Memoryexpress online to look at parts, or they have stores in RD as well as C and E

Are you only going to be gaming or doing more of video editing/multi core tasks?

I did

  • Some Intel Z170 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Kaby Lake-S CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions.

He can use the motherboard, just might have to update the bios but I fixed it anyway

Here is a similar build, but with a lower price and higher value (in my opinion): https://pcpartpicker.com/list/FgPqnn

No monitor

You could also add things like an NZXT Hue kit to liven things up a bit, maybe some RGB fans as well if you're into that.

Do you require a monitor?

Actually, yes I do. I'm currently relying on a 1080p 32" Element TN based TV at the moment which has really crappy colors and is not really suited for PCs as it doesn't auto adjust to work with Windows. Stuff is wayy oversharpened and is unreadable.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention: I already have storage figured out (already have an SSD and a hard drive) so no storage is necessary.

This may do for what you want

Note keyboard, mouse etc not included in price

If you want you can upgrade to pro windows 10

I disagree with quite a few things in that build, such as the storage, cooler, and power supply.

On my own, this is what I came up with. https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/q3wQbj

Probably not the best, but that's what I slapped together on my own. Oh yeah, my budget is in CAD so the US version of PCPartPicker won't really work as everything here is more expensive than things are in the US.
