Enter Network Password

I am having such a problem with his fracking issue. I go into my Network and click on my new file server. I double click to get in. I am asked for a username and password. No issues. Until I get to the second screen where it is asking for a password only. How can I get through this? I have been struggling with this all day.

Instructions for frustration management:  

1) Sit at desk.   2) Repeatedly slam forehead against desk.

The second screen that only asks the for password does so because the prior attempt failed, but Windows saves the prior username for you. This means that on the first attempt, you did not enter the right username/password.

 

Make sure that the user you are trying to log in with has at least read permissions on both the network share, and the folders that you are sharing.

Thank you. After I read your reply I started thinking. I was trying to get in via admin not by an actual user that I had created. Wow I was tired. Thank you again.
