EVGA 1060

Lawrence13

Why is EVGA's 1060 6gb much cheaper than other brands?

I found it even cheaper than a 1060 3gb from Gigabyte

'Cause EVGA is awesome? Maybe all the places you looked have overstock or maybe they just price them sensibly. Where are you at?

No reason really, just a sale.

BTW, if it is the gaming single fan card, "non-SC", I wouldn't get it if you have poor airflow or planning to overclock, if u want evga 1060s either get the single fan "sc" or dual fan "SSC"

It's the single fan one. I have 2 fans on the case, is that enough to avoid overheating?

It will help quite a bit, but if its the non-sc single fan you will expect temps up to 80 celsius during heavy gaming stock clock, so I don't really recommend doing any overclocking with it. Pascal cards dont really like operating at high clock speeds at those temps, either the card will crash if you overclock or it will just lower the overclock quite a bit because of thermal throttling.

Can it have any throttling issues even if I don't OC?

I don't think I'll overclock the card

they overclocked theirs to 1949mhz and the temps were at 73 celsius, so if you dont overclock if should be around 70 or below. temps start becoming a problem if you decide to overclock beyond 2000mhz
