AOC U3477PQU Display Lag

Hi there,

 

I just bought this ultra wide monitor and its arrived today.

 

I've plugged it in via DVI -- My issue is I have not installed the driver for this monitor yet (as I've turned off my disc drive) and cant be arsed to reinstall it as I didn't think a monitor would require a driver to run properly.

 

I'm getting severe input lag and am wondering whether this is due to the driver not being installed?

 

I already looked on their website for online drivers but they don't run as an executable; it's a weird collection of files which do nothing.

The driver is not driver.... it is just so that Windows doesn't show Generic Monitor but the proper name.
