Can you Install APK's to android smart tv

Hi,

 

Just been using a new streaming service on my mobile. But have encounted issues when streaming through the desktop App on my pc. Due to the Foxtel Go app isnt supported on my smart tv.

 

The only solution Ive come up with is to manually download the apk file and install it.

 

But Im scared that it may brick my smart tv.

First question...is your smart TV running android?

 

Even then I don't think you can because it is going to be locked down.
