Making Sure Everything Is Ok

Going to be used for light multi tasking and gaming on 1080p, I have a monitor. My main concerns are the air cooler fitting with the RAM, and the PSU. I would like to stick with Intel proccesors. If you have any suggestions or see any problems with the build, just leave what you would change and why. Thank you

As you've chosen a Z270 motherboard you should really get a 7700K,other than that everything looks fine.

Looking to upgrade in the future, and the RGB strips will just be cosmetic at the end of the build, mainly to get a blue/white look

A 550/650watt psu would still be enough though. But I understand your decision.

 

If I can give you one tip:

Find a psu with flat cables. I have a corsair psu with more or less the same bulky cables and they are a pain in the poopie to deal with,

even in my 760t with it's over an inch of cablemanagement room.

I feel as if I am more comfortable with Intel since i have been taking apart and learning about computers that have been build with them a lot. Before anyone asks, not many parts were reusable

I've really been debating the switch, the motherboard will have to change, but would you know anything else that would need to change, such as the CPU cooler? Also, will the building process on the the motherboard be different? It's fine if you cant make a list anyway

The CPU cooler would be different because AM4 is new, also you might want to get higher speed RAM for Ryzen, and the pins are on the CPU rather than the mobo.

You will, it's just some brands seem to refuse to support it. I will be home in a hour, and then I will make a list

All Ryzen chips are OC able. The stock cooler is pretty good as well, good enough for OC.

I know that people say you should try and get after market coolers when purchasing Intel and wanting to OC, should i stick with the stock fan the whole time, or upgrade when possible.

I would stick to the stock one, and when possible, upgrade.

 

Also be aware the B350 chipset does not support SLI.

The color scheme is white and black rather than white and grey.

 

The PSU is 550W, which will be plenty. Its a tier 1 unit, 80+ Gold.
