Motherboard Bios too old for RX 580?

Got the 580. Installed. Pc wont boot. Reinstalled old card r7 370. Same problem. Feelsbadman. On service now. They said this happen few times with new stuff and old bios

Make sure you have the most recent drivers, you could try manually installing ones for the RX 580 if automatic is not working.

if it's not booting with your old card either then it's probably not a bios issue. You can try to clear CMOS though.

I'd say check all cables again and maybe try a different PCIe slot.

How do you install drivers when the PC doesnt boot? Please read and think before you comment.

No no, the guy said that he can't reboot, so I was assuming he would clear his CMOS then reboot and install drivers, as the solution to his problem.

Clearing the cmos wouldn't guarantee making it boot, plus you never mentioned clearing the cmos in your original post.

i have no idea. just got it up and running today with my baby msi 580.  but i dont have the thing to use CD.s how can i  get MSI softwere for the RGB and other things? I didnt know how to  screw in my case so i just left it since i never used it anyways

You should be able to download the drivers through the AMD website (just type in the name of the card into Google followed by drivers). 

 

As for being able to customise your LEDs and have access to other features of the card, you need to download the MSI Gaming App. Which can be downloaded here: https://www.msi.com/blog/msi-gaming-app-article

I got the MSI one. is great, cool and no noise .i dont think is such a big upgrade from 980 . just for the Vram i guess. i upgraded from r7 370. huge leap. like 5x stronger haha.
