Corsair ML Series Low RPM Noise

Notwist

Tried out 4 different Corsair ML fans (all tested via PWM connection, so the magnetic levitation bearing was getting all 12v needed, and tested on multiple connections), all of them had this noise when running at low RPMs:

Needless to say, very disappointed. I like the aesthetic and performance, but it's not worth ruining the idle noise of my machine. :\

They aren't very quiet fans. They're high performance fans that are relatively quiet.

There's a number of reviews touting their silence. I think the most shocking thing is that whirring noise that makes them unsuitable even at idle. Almost any fan over $25 usually sounds fine when it's under 800 rpm.

Very clearly a whole lot of hype.
