Srsly though, how hard is it to buy a printer cartridge? Just check the number on the one in your printer, go to the store and buy a compatible one and done...

For dummies is a legit product. They mostly write books. I have one of them.

Indeed, but them selling things like Ink Cartridges is very out of character, so I'm not surprised that people thought it was fake.

I like my inkjet printer. Haven't replaced a cartridge in over 10 years (multiple printers, mind you!) refilling them is dirt cheap and I have my own homebrew concoction for black ink

Most people won't or can't go through that much effort though - so from a purely "if I need to buy a new one one" perspective, toner is better

Me and my mom (whom is a chemist) figured out a rough composition for Lexmark's ink (circa 2005) and we went from there.
