Upgrade from 212evo

DeadlyMuffinCat

Hello All,

So I currently have a 6700k and I am running a cooler master 212 evo in push pull with some corsair sp120s.  It cools it decently well, 72 c was the max I got during stress testing in aida64.  When gaming and streaming it sits in the mid to low 50s.  I'm running at stock speeds be cause really, I haven't needed anything faster.  But I think I would like a change of pace.  The system is a bit loud under load, but i usually have a fan on in my office anyway , but I'm thinking a bigger heat sink would let me get around the same performance at a lower fan speed.  I was looking at the cryorig h7 but I'm open to other suggestions as well.  I have a black and white themed build so something neutral or one of those colors would be nice.  Thanks in advance for any suggestions

If you care about noise that much, get a Corsair H60 Liquid Cooler. It's only $60 and you will see many comments about how quiet it is.

Noctua D15 is basically one of the kings when it comes to air cooling and silence.

If you want better cooling than that I can recoomend NZXT Kraken x62 or Corsair H100i v2, water coolers.

Scythe Fuma if available. Trading blows with the Noctua's but for a better price. High end coolers like that sweep the floor with small rad AIO and the bigger 240+sizes cost way more. Also a AIO is not always more quieter because of fans and pump making noise.

Anything from BeQuite, Scythe, or Noctua should be great ! I personally use a Scythe Cooler and it has been running great !

Thank you all for the suggestions.

After looking up some of them I think i want to go with either the Shadowrock2 or the darkrock3 from bequiet

I'm leaning towards the darkrock, but I'm a bit concerned about ram clearance i don't have very tall ram, but the 212 evo Front fan does get pretty close to the 1st dim slot on my mobo, I currently have slots 2 and 4 populated but i would like to keep the option open to populate all 4 in the future.  Do you think the shadow rock would still offer pretty good cooling?  I'm honestly just not a fan of AIOs.  I know they are pretty reliable but the fear of a leak is just something I'd rather not have in the back of my mind.  Thank you all for the input and suggestions.

The Shadow Rock performs only slightly better than the 212 Evo.

If the fan is too close to the ram, you can raise it or move it to the other side of the heatsink.

Have you tried lowering fan speeds? You're fine up to 80-90c at load.
