XFX GTR is the one I would buy hands down.

Or the MSI Twin Frozr is also sweet.

Black edition are binned chips. Overbuilt PCB and huge heatsink. Swappable fans is icing on the cake.

i saw the swappable fans but my concern with those is will they be standardised in future cards and will they be available in 3 years when the warranty runs out? Iv also never had a GPU fan outlast the usefulness of a GPU. Use to be able to buy third party air cooling heatsinks that could take 120mm fans for the GTX8800/GTX9800; havnt seen one since that generation

Who knows? Can't predict the future. It's not just about replacing bad fans though. It comes in 3 color options. Not sure why they couldn't make it RGB, but hey, at least we still get options.

It also makes cleaning the fans very easy.

Cheaper, maybe. But they're pretty much equals now.

Personal build >  New-ish AMD main gaming setup

I hope so. I've only had problems with AMD devices (and drivers) in the past so good on them for finally fixing it

i used to have constant driver issues with AMD, but since the crimson drivers, AMD has seriously stepped up their game, they actually work and don't crash, and since you've got to sign up for Nvidia's game ready drivers i'm starting to prefer AMD's and even their cards are killer value, and are no longer the house fires they used to be,

The xfx gtr and the msi gaming x are both on par in terms of "best" (both have a bit to offer in defferent areas).

The asus strix and saphire notro are cheaper and not as high quality but are still good options.
