Upstar 28" 4K Model # M280A1, is this a good monitor?

Its probably going to have poor image quality. It also is a glossy screen so any blacks are going to a reflection. And there is no height, and barely any tilt adjustment. If you are fine with that then get it. If not then get this:

28" Ultra High-Definition 4K Monitor

3840 x 2160 Resolution

16:9 Aspect Ratio

5ms response time

2x HDMI, DVI, Display Port

I am looking for a 4k Monitor for cheap. This looks like a very cheap price. This is also quote "high gloss display" so I do not know if that is good for gaming. The only glossy screen I've ever used is my laptop screen on a Surface Pro 4 and I do light gaming on there with no problems with reflections/glares. That being, it's there but it's not prevalent enough to make me notice. I don't know if all glossy screens would perform the same.

The current monitor I have right now is only a 50$ monitor https://www.amazon.com/Dell-E2214H-21-5-Inch-LED-Lit-Monitor/dp/B00FE8MKT2

Therefore, for me I don't really care for aesthetics or anything fancy because at the end of the day it's just a monitor to me.

I do not have a window in front where I would place my monitor.

Would this be a good monitor? Primarily for gaming.

This is the only real review I could find of the monitor: http://4k.com/monitor/upstar-m280a1-4k-uhd-28-inch-monitor-review/

As for gaming, you are going to need some serious hardware to push 4k @ 60hz, so if you already spent big money on a GPU, I advise against skimping out on a monitor. A good monitor can make your GPU last longer, especially when Freesync and G-Sync are involved. If you need something cheap, yet functional, the korean Samsung panels are $180 brand new on Ebay, and can often be overclocked to 100hz+ (Mine is currently clocked at 110hz) and offer great colors at a 1440p resolution, a resolution easily driven by mid-high cards. Don't know if Ebay links are allowed to be posted, so just google X-Star DP2710 or Qnix QX2710.
