Setting video output to PCIe

Is there a way to set the video output to PCIe instead of onboard without going into the BIOS? My problem is that my old motherboard won't go into the BIOS no matter what I do, and that setting should be the reason why that computer won't boot with my RX 480.

Did you plug your monitor into your RX 480 and try booting?

I forgot to say, yeah, I plugged the HDMI cable to the GPU, booted with it, changed it to the mobo's HDMI, still only get a black screen. I mounted the card on a different motherboard and it worked just fine, I could get into its BIOS and it was set to use PCIe already. The other mobo isn't mine though, so I can't use it.

I can't go into the BIOS either way, it won't do it. I've tried everything I could research including BIOS updates and CMOS default settings (because I do get a CMOS error when I try to update the BIOS, I can't find solution to it either). That's why I'm asking if I can change the setting without having to go into the BIOS

disconnect 24-pin, remove CMOS battery. 30secs later, install battery and reconnect 24-pin.

if needing to get into BIOS, remove one stick of RAM, old POST records will note change and prompt setup command.
