Corsair Obsidian 750D Airflow Edition

Benjamin818

So...I just want to make a new build, and I'm a bit confused. A got a few questions about air cooling. The first: I can't decide between 2 fans: Corsair AF/SP Led series or Cougar CFD. The second: can I use the Cougar CFD's for SP and AF, or for just one. The third: If I put a 360mm rad (Thermaltake 360 Riing Water 3.0 RGB (Damn, what a name...), in push/pull config, that means I will have 6 exhaust??? Because I want to build like this: 2 x 140mm Front, 2 x 120mm Bottom, 6 x 120mm Top (Push/Pull config), 1 x 140mm Rear. In addition I got an ASUS GTX 1080 OC STRIX, a Dominator Airflow Platinum Led Fan, and my PSU is turned downside (PSU = intake). So PLEASE, HELP ME! :)) Have a nice day!

All fans have some degree of both static pressure and airflow and different designs favor one over another. Which balance works best will depend on where the fan is being used.

Push/pull would still only result in 3 exhausts. Your current plan seems fine.

Dual-X's are better than the AF/SP LED fans and is pretty middle-of-the-road for static pressure and airflow.

Thank you! I just realized, that Corsair's ML series are far better, than Cougar's CFD series, or no?

I haven't had personal experience with ML fans yet so I'm not sure how good they actually are. From what I've read, they seem like good fans with great performance/noise at the higher end. Dual-X's are good fans in their own right so I doubt that ML fans are worth the price premium. At the same price, I would definitely go with ML fans if only out of curiosity.

Oh, sorry, alright. Yeah, $50 for a fan is a bit too crazy, but seriously I'm very curious, how they perform. One more question: (maybe more later): As i have seen, the ML fans can be used for Airflow and Static Pressure too, or just for SP?

All fans have some degree of static pressure and airflow.

Corsair's SP and AF fans were heavily favored one over the other whereas ML fans have a balance between the two and should be fine for just about anything.

You can get an idea of how they perform here:
