Corsair SP or ML?

Crypt1c

I'm deciding what to use as my case fan in the Fractal Design node 202. The ML120 is quite more expensive than the SP120, so is it worth the price difference? How much of a difference are there?

I believe SPs use hydraulic bearings, whereas the ML120 uses a magnetic bearing. The SP120 Performance Edition has a few hundred more RPM than the ML120.

The ML120 is supposed to be a static pressure AND airflow optimized fan. Is it worth it? That's up to you.

That's all you need to know. It's a beast.

What are you looking for in a fan? Which SP120 are you looking at?

The non-rgb quiet edition, or would the high performance better fo this build? I don't mind the higher noise if the gpu is cooler significantly.

There's no rgb SP120. Are you referring to the SP120 QE with the colored rings?

PE's are loud and not worth getting if you care at all about noise.

Where are you planning to use the fan and where are you shopping/located?

Look up the case Fractal Design node 202, I'm using the fan above the gpu. I live in Thailand, so my options are pretty limited from what I've gathered so far.

http://computeandmore.com/product_type.php?id_type=21 the prices are in Thai Baht so you would have to convert it. 1usd is about 35 baht at the moment.

What's your budget?

It's not definite but I would prefer cost saving if the change is not drastic. Basically something cost effective.

I'm not sure if I'm navigating the website correctly but I only see Corsair fans.

Is this the only site you're shopping from?

what gpu are you using? theres only 60mm of clearance in the node 202 most heatsinks that benefit from the fans wouldnt fit them. aftermarket heatsinks are almost always more than 35mm, so you cant fit in 25mm fans
