Folding at home clients won't run

So i've been folding 24/7 for about 3 weeks on my everyday gaming PC, however last night i paused folding to play osme battlefield, when trying to resume i found the FAH web client and the one in my taksbar had closed, when i try to lauch the web client, it tell me i need to install the FAH client or make sure the lients running, but i can't actually get it to run again.

I tried uninstaling the FAH client, reboot, and redownload from they're website, but it does the same thing.

any idea what might be the problem?

these are the screens i get while trying to start folding in the web client and the advanced control panel, this is after uninstalling and reinstalling the FAH client from they're website.

Not too sure if this will help, but try performing a power cycle on your computer. Turn it off, unplug it for ~30 seconds, then plug it back in again and turn it on.

I actually couldn't underclock my 5 year old GPU to make it as slow as a next-gen console.

Yea, your client isn't running.  The "Local Connecting - Inactive" status happens when FAHControl can't talk to the client.  You need to get your client up and running before FAHControl or the web control can talk to it.  No idea how using "pause" killed it; likely something else conspired against you ...

Easiest fix is to do a standard uninstall, then make sure you delete the config files for FAH located in the "C:\Users\<user-name>\Appdata\Roaming\FAHClient" folder.  (substitute your account name for <user-name>, of course).  I think the "C:\Program Files (x86)\FAHClient folder is fully removed - delete it if it isn't.  Reinstall and you should be golden.

If that doesn't solve your problem, I'm following this thread and will watch for further issues.
