NEED HELP SLEEVING CORSAIR RMI POWERSUPLY

So i bought a corsair rmi 650 psu, i want to custom sleeve it but cant get any of the pins out :/ i bought some tools and tested them on both this and a thermaltake tr2 500w psu, on the thermaltake they worked just fine and could take out the pins with ease, but for some reason i could not take any of the corsair pins out. i ended up breaking the pin removal tool in the process as well >.> is there possibly something different with rmi psu cable that i am not seeing? thanks for the help in advance!

Removing pins from those connectors can be a very finicky and tedious task. Patience and practice make perfect. The latching mechanism of the pins in the plastic connector should be the same as far as I know. I remember a Linus video from a long time ago on this.

i noticed that the rmi pins are rounded on one side while the thermaltake pins are complete squares.

I've never seen those rounded pins before. I imagine they should have two little catches left and right to keep the pin in the connector though like every other crimped pin. Can't find any documentation online either.
