Too much voltage through RAM modules (Crucial Ballistix Elite)

I've noticed that my motherboard is outputting 1.536 volt through my RAM sticks. More exactly these: http://www.crucial.com/uk/store/part...D1608DE1TX0CEU[/url=http://www.crucial.com/uk/store/partspecs.aspx?imodule=BLE2CP4G3D1608DE1TX0CEU]

I've tried changing voltage in my motherboard, but something unexpected happens:

Auto = 1.536v

1.500 = 1.536v

1.480 = 1.478v

For some reason i can't get it to 1.5v

Should i choose it to run at 1.478 or 1.536?

Does it do any difference? Will it damage my modules?

PS. AIDA64, HWiNFO64 and the BIOS tells me the exact same DIMM voltage

My System:

PSU: Corsair AX 750

Mobo: Gigabyte GA-Z68AP-D3

BIOS: F7 (Don't ask me to update to the bugged F8)!

CPU: i7 2600k 4.6GHz

Memory: 8GB Crucial Ballistix Elite 1600MHz CL8

GPU: Geforce GTX 560 TI

Windows 7 x64 fully updated

Either is fine. You can turn on xmp if that helps or just manually enter the voltage timing and frequency

DDR3 is good for 1.75-1.8V But never go past 1.65 unless you know what you are doing.

Do not worry about running at 1.536V, that will not hurt memory rated for 1.5V.

I will never ever run at XMP. What's up with the fact that you get higher timings just by activating xmp :s? I'd rather set my speed and timing manually, than let XMP do it for me while using higher latencies!

Thank you very much @Wats :). @Wats, maybe you can give me some advice on overclocking capability regarding RAM? The BCLK can't be overclocked on sandy bridge and ivy bridge cpus, so how do you tweak the speed on the RAM or is latencies the only thing you can tweak? Tweaking the latencies further just makes the RAM unstable according to my tests.
