Minecraft performance improvements

Hi I was wondering if I could utilize my gpus for Minecraft? The current fps is really low even on a 4.6 ghz i7. Ive already increased the ram limit to 20gbs.

Minecraft is a bit of a Pig when it comes to performance. It appears to perform different to every one no matter what the hardware is. It is however way more CPU intensive. It does use your GPU/S though you can be certain of that. Try something like Optifine HD and see if that makes a difference.
