gtx 970 temperature and case airflow

gtx 970 temp is 80 while gaming

i have mastercase pro 5 it has
front 2x 140mm fans
back 1x 140mm fan
all 1000rpm 55cfm

i took out the side window but the temp still 80

that mean the case airflow isn't bad??????

your card is acting up  do you have it over clocked? did you adjust the fan curves or take the card apart?

What kind of 970 do you have and how hot is it in the room?

What's monitoring your system temps?

I've got the Nvidia blower style 970 personally, and it gets to 80 on a pretty regular basis, it's not that the case is bad or anything like that, its just the way the card was built. While my brother has the Strix 970, and his hardly gets to 60 on the same games/settings.

Your problem is the reference cooler, that's it. Either ramp up the fans of change the TIM, it may help

Yeah, that was my point :P I'm not the OP, just saying that the cards are very different in terms of operating temperatures. 91c I believe is what Nvidia says is a top safe limit for my particular card.
