$550 budget Gaming Build for Friend

PCEnthusiast543

My friend really wants to get into pc gaming and I am going to build the pc for him. His total budget is around $550, he just wants to get the best gaming performance. I really want to be able to expand his build in the future and also have it be semi-compact since he doesn't have a lot of room. Any suggestions would be aprreciated

I don't think the FM2 platform will offer a lot of upgardbility that the OP requires

It won't, but OP also want's "the best gaming performance" and that's what you get with the build at the moment. But yes, your build is far more upgradable (even more if you get 1x8 gb ram).

The i3 6100 bests the 860K as well.

I know (kind of obvious), but it's 50 dollars more as well.

Edit: so there's room for a 380X in budget (which is better than the 380)

I really like this build, but he seriously can't go over $550, just a little bit over, but not that much.

That is a lot better. This gives me a good idea of what I might build for him.

You'll have to use the stock cooler, sorry, but the freaking case doesn't say if any cpu cooler is compatible, so i just got a 18$ case fan.
