Adding window to case, not sure where to find the right U-Channel

ChrisCCH

So, I've recently been ordering stuff to add a acrylic window to the side panel on my Corsair 400r, and the guide I was looking at used this, but as far as I know Frozen cpu shut down, so I can't order off of that site anymore. I'd rather not get something that doesn't work, so If anyone knows where else I can buy this, or at least something close to it, I'd much appreciate you telling me. :)

I'd assume a local DIY shop may have them. or Amazon.

Also, the acrylic side panel on the 500r looks the same as the 400r's solid window. Perhaps it would be cheaper to buy that door separately? (Which they do somewhere on their website) You'll have to make sure they are the exact same measurements etc.

I don't believe the 500r's side panel has a window. As far as I'm aware, this is the only 500r side panel.

Ah. I got ya. Its a mesh, and not acrylic. Although if you take off the acrylic, you will have a pre-cut hole, and all you need to do is place your window in.

MNPC tech has this also McMaster Carr. If you don't want to use U channel you also have th option of smoothing out the cut with metal files and using a touch up paint or paint marker to match the original case paint.
