[Linux] Uninstall proftpd in Debian?

Just assembled a new server for private use and tried to install proFTPd on it. Made some f*ck ups in the configs and have tried to uninstall it.

apt-get remove proftpdapt-get purge proftpdapt-get --purge remove proftpd

I have tried using these three commands, but they all come up with the same thing.

Reading package lists... DoneBuilding dependency tree Reading state information... Doneproftpd-basic is already the newest version.0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.

So nothing has happen?

Did also try

whereis proftpd

To find and delete all files manually, but still without luck.

I have stopped the process, before doing anything.

So if any one know a way to COMPLETELY (with configs and other stuff) delete/uninstall proftpd, then I would like to hear from you. :)
