New CX750M? (See Pictures)

Have I been out of the loop? Is this an updated CXM? A version outside of the US that I haven't seen? Just an updated skin?

For those who don't get it, the cx750m is usually in white/green and has different packaging.

That packaging looks like my H110i GTX box...

pretty sure its just updated packaging and a new sticker on the PSU

if they changed any internals they would have probably called it something different

something changed.. the elder cxm was only three years warranty as the new

updated version shows 5 years.. had to done an interior update to extend the

warranty two more years.

I had noticed the 5 year warranty on the box, but didn't really read into it much before. The CX 750/850, as you may have already know, is a based on a different and much superior platform ( CWT PUQ-B ) than the lower wattage 430-600w (CWT DSA-III).

 

Now since the lower wattage CX are being refreshed with DC-DC (making it more closer, if not the same, in respect to quality and performance metrics as the 750/850w model), they may have taken the opportunity to make the CX series more appealing as a whole by upgrading the warranty and have all black 24 pin cable in preparation for the release.

 

Other than that, the packaging of that CX750M does seem to be just a "simple repackaging" as stated by PureBlackFire @ JG, whom had spoken to Jonny regarding it. Capacitors choice may have been different as well, as the 850w model did have shown to used Taicon rather than CapXon but that just me making speculations.

Too bad people who just bought one of the older ones will likely still have to stick with the 3 year warranty.

Sweet! I like the sound of that. 

Is Corsair being quiet about it or is it just a matter of time before they go on advertising for the updated CX?

Ah, I didn't reply. Sorry. I don't see it listed on Corsair site or the site for the 80+ certification yet, but Newegg had put up a listing for them.
