MSI Gaming App crashes

So after a recent update via live update 6 broke my version of msi afterburner I attempted to use an older version that came with my r9 390 and it was still broken. What is wrong with it? Is this usually true with msi software?

| RAM - G SKill Hyper X 32 GB & 320GB ECC DDR3 | GPU - RTX 2080 Super W/ Block GTX 1060 6GB (R720) | Case - Metallic Gear Neo Qube (basically an O11D) | Storage - 2TB NVME + 8TB Unraid | PSU - Corsair RM650X Gold | Display - Samsung CHG90 49" | Cooling - Hardline EK CPU and GPU with 3x120 Rad | Operating System - Windows 10 Pro (PC) & Unraid (R720) |

Uninstall Afterburner and get latest from http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/msi_afterburner.html . I wouldn't suggest using Live Update for Afterburner. And rather not updating unless Afterburner itself informs about new version.

Oops I meant msi gaming app but I'll see if I can track down the gaming app on major geeks

Probably not going to find it. Those are buggy and seen as crapware in first place. Do you need it for some special thing?
