Minor but frequent computer lockups

My issue has just started up recently and its really getting on my nerves, Its also happens more frequently.  The basic idea is whenever i start loading my system up with a game or multiple windows on google chrome i'll lock up for maybe .5 seconds to 5 seconds.  It is never any worse then that but its really frustrating when playing a game on steam or even doing a raid on wow.

 Most of the topics i find about  pc lockups are ones that make you have to reboot, but that dosnt happen here its just very quick and then its gone.

Are all Windows updates installed?

Yes. well no i skip the bing stuff but then again idk why that's considered a windows update.

Did you install any new programs or update any drivers lately?

No programs no. Driver updates nope. Game installs on steam yeah. but it usually just installs the same stuff again.
Those games include grid, saints row 2, dungeon land, need for speed undercover, dark souls, xcom, Fuel, torchlight II. So if any of those games have bad installers there isn't anything else.
