Planned upgrades

I'm going to share the upgrades I will be getting this yeah.

Current Specs:

Orange NZXT Phantom

AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4Ghz

CM Hyper 212 Evo

8GB RAM

Asrock 970 Extreme4

Nvidia GT440

OCZ 600W PSU

Kingston HyperX 120GB SSD

1TB Hitachi

First Upgrade:

GPU - Not sure what once yet, got about £200 to spend in the next few months on it

Case repaint and fans - Black, and black dyed Noctua fans

CPU - Either Haswell or AMD's next gen

Motherboard - Depends on the CPU decision

Cooler - I won't have enough money for a custom water loop so most likely a H100i

I would wait till Haswell is released and we get performance numbers. Then you be able to decide whether AMD or Intel. Also, you can upgrade you GPU now, use it and carry it over to your new build. For your budget, no big difference between AMD and NVidia in my opinion - they both have their pros and cons. Spend a few days, look around for deals and rebates. Then just pick up the best bang for your buck. :)

The only reason why I said few months was I have hardly any money right now. I'm looking at a 7870 though
