Frame drop in Youtube when also playing a game.

I have two monitors and I like to play games on one and watch Youtube or Nexflix on the other. When I do both youtube starts to have a terrible frame drop but nothing happens to the game. I recently upgraded to windows 8 and wiped my whole machine. Before I didn't have this problem so I am pretty sure it isn't my internet connection. Do you have any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks

Try going into the GPU settings and change the settings on the perform scaling tab to 'GPU'. This work for we when the colours turned black and white when ever I watched a video.

you can try disabling hardware acceleration on Youtube and Netflix and  see if that works.
