Laptop won't connect to Internet

Cakefish

Connection appears as limited with the yellow exclamation mark. Windows troubleshooter says that the DNS server isn't responding. My iPad is connected (it's what I'm using to type this message) so the router and ISP are fine.

What's wrong? It was working up until a few hours ago. The only thing I did was install new Intel and NVIDIA graphics drivers (not wireless drivers, which are up to date by the way). Only GPU drivers, nothing else.

I cannot reset the router, as it does not belong to me and is not located within my room (I unfortunately live in a crappy shared house).

I don't know what to do.

SOLVED!

Ran 'sfc /scannow' in the CMD and it found corrupt files and repaired them.

Now it works again, connects to the WiFi just fine. Internet access enabled :)

Thanks for the help!

Try changing the DNS address to google DNS 8.8.8.8 and 4.4.4.4 I'm not sure if the 4.4.4.4 is the right one, please correct me if I'm wrong
