Mobo: Biostar A55ML2

Processor: AMD A4 5300 (Stock Heatsink)

RAM: Wintec Value 1x4gb DDR3 1333 mghz

PSU: Logisys 480w 

 

CPU fan starts spinning but then the monitor doesn't recognize it. I have tried 2 different monitors. VGA is the only available output.

The RAM may not be functional. You have any spare RAM to try?

I have tried two different RAM and its still isn't posting

try reseating the CPU....if no joy, i suspect the motherboard may have failed.

I have concluded that it is either a socket or processor failure. When I plugged in the power button and the rest of the stuff from the front I/O it worked fine.

Okay. I suppose try to RMA one of those two things.

I think it is more likely to be the processor, so I will RMA that.

CPU's actually rarely fail, more likely to be the motherboard....
