DDR4 why U exsist?

As we all no the technology for ddr5 memory is available and is used in nearly every modern gpu, so what I don't understand is why intel chose to use ddr4 for the X99 platform and why they didn't skip it and go straight for the ddr5?

An AMD cpu has no place in a solely gaming build, end of.

Yes I didn't realise the difference but having watched the tech quickie video it all now makes sense and I now understand why there different.

 

God I feel stupid now... :wacko:
