Grub boot loader is black

I just install Ubuntu on my second hard drive and the boot loader went on my main. However something must have gone wrong because the grub loader is black, outlined by its normal colors. After a few seconds it boots to ubuntu. How can I fix this?

oh yeah, the pleasures of the GRand Unified Bootloader loader!

Have you tried reinstalling the GRand Unified Bootloader loader?

Boot into the liveCD and use grub-install /dev/whateverdeviceyouwantgrubon

Have you tried reinstalling the GRand Unified Bootloader loader?

Boot into the liveCD and use grub-install /dev/whateverdeviceyouwantgrubon

I used a flash drive because I ran out of disks. I did that and it installed for i386, although it should be 64 bit. After restart same problem

I will just put windows boot loader back on and reinstall ubuntu later
