What GPU for ultrawide 1440p gaming?

Hey, i'm building a new gaming pc and i wondering what GPU will be able to handle 3440 x 1440 at around 144fps? (it can be a little lower but around that kind of ballpark)

I'd go after a RTX 3080 without the MLCC problem. Though difficult to find I guess.

If you are okay with not hitting 144 FPS the 3070 comes out on the 15th and will be fine for ultrawide 3440x1440.

It will most likely have 2080 Super performance.

It depends on the game. I get 130+ FPS for F1 2019 with 5700XT. However only 71 FPS for Assassin's Creed Odyssey. If you want 140+ FPS for Assassin's Creed and Tomb Raider. Probably a 3080.

do you play at like medium or high?

A mix of high and some ultra.

R5 3600 @4.4GHz.
