"Barnabus" Semi-Powerhouse

MrJaayy

Hey! I made my first build back in August and I planned to make room for SLI but I realised I goofed. haha

Well, here are my specs, let me know what you think?!

Carbide 400r

AsRock Extreme 4

i7-3770k

Gigabyte GTX 670

8GB HyperX Genesis

700w ModxStream

Scavenged HDDs. :P

My wires are a bit dirty right now, so I'll post pics to this thread when I revamp it a bit.

I believe the ModxStream doesn't have enough 6-8pins for SLI of 670s, yeah?

Hmmm...

I think that PSU can handle dual-SLI man.

It would be a REAL push though, that would be the limit of the limit really.

Remember, the 670 only uses 170W and usually you're safe with 500W of power on a system like that.

I'd say go for it man , looks good!

Just don't overclock either of them, and you'll be sweet :D

I don't believe I have enough 6 and 8 pin connectors though. I'm not exactly sure, myself.

How many pins does your 670 use? I would think two 8-pins

How many pins does your PSU have? It says here one 6+2 and one 6 :/

Yeah, my 670 uses a 6pin and an 8pin.

I saw the 6+2 and 6. DERP! Guess I'll get a new PSU when I decide to SLI. LOL

This power supply's cord lengths are tiny though. It's a bit agitating being unable to route some wires.
