Best price/performance GPU for 1080p 144hz gaming

TechguyES

Hello everyone,

I am looking to build a new PC with the AMD 500 series mobo's coming out, which have the usb -c header I need for my case, and don't break the bank like the x series mobo's.

I want to pair it with a Ryzen 3600, or wait until the 4000 series come out this year.

My question like the title, what would be the best and cheapest GPU to pair with for 1080p 144hz monitors?

I am using amazon.de, so europe pricing.

Any help is appreciated.

if you are waiting for zen 3, then waiting for nvidia ampere and big navi will probably be the best decision.

you could wait and check. but for now, depends on what games and at what settings, a 1660 super is good  enough for most casual users, especially at 1080p, and a 5600xt is a pretty nice jump in performance.

PC: Motherboard: ASUS B550M TUF-Plus, CPU: Ryzen 3 3100, CPU Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34, GPU: GIGABYTE WindForce GTX1650S, RAM: HyperX Fury RGB 2x8GB 3200 CL16, Case, CoolerMaster MB311L ARGB, Boot Drive: 250GB MX500, Game Drive: WD Blue 1TB 7200RPM HDD.

Peripherals: GK61 (Optical Gateron Red) with Mistel White/Orange keycaps, Logitech G102 (Purple), BitWit Ensemble Grey Deskpad.

Audio: Logitech G432, Moondrop Starfield, Mic: Razer Siren Mini (White).

Phone: Pixel 3a (Purple-ish).

Okok, and what about if i wanted to try for 1080p 240 hz, would a rx5700 xt be good enough to get those 240 fps?

as i said, depends on what games and what settings, but a 5600xt is more than enough, a 1660 super might struggle.

I think waiting is the best option, didn't know we were that close of big navi releasing. Which means prices of most cards and cpu's will drop even furter. I mean nowadays we get a new something every half year. So I think waiting would only help in getting a good deal on something like a 5700xt, or even better if the navi cards are priced similarly. Thanks for the heads up.

a 5600xt for sure, a 1660 super might struggle. (though i don't play this game so i could be wrong.).

but as said above, wait for ampere and big navi.
