What kind of keyboard do you have?

Perhaps plug it into a different slot?

Seeing multiple errors starting with disk errors.  suspecting OS corruption

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.

Won't make a difference for BIOS. Lenovo/IBM systems will complain about all manner of things when the BIOS is reset

Ok, what happens if you plug a keyboard in *after* the BIOS throws all kinds of errors?

Does the keyboard light up for the caps lock or num lock, when you press them?

Sounds like the chip controlling the USB has died.

Buy a PCI USB card as an add-in, might be the only way.
