seagate external hdd

had this external hdd for about 3 or 4 years now.

couple of months ago it stopped working and started beeping

looked online and the pin are stuck, which is weird because it wiw fall from the top of my case (52cm) accidentally 2 or 3 months ago and it worked fine

should i try to fix it myself or is it easier to sent it to a place that fixes it?

its probably best to send it to a professional if you dont want to lose your data

Any brand is going to fail if you let it fall down, no miracles there.

 

If you want your data you need to send to a professional, nothing you can do on your own. It will cost quite a bit.

i know but it happened 2 or 3 months after the fall

Yep that can happen. The fall just needs to make a little scratch which will throw debris into the drive and cause further damage over time.
