Problem when using all RAM slots

Hey guys, I'm new here, so not sure how to begin...

But, some context. I already got 16gbs of ram, ddr4 2666mhz.

I'm using the RAM on the slots 1 and 3.

I bought the excalty same memory, and tried filled the rest of the slots. But my system won't boot.

After a few trials and errors, I noticed that no matter which ram I use (new or old ones) if I put them on slot 1 and 2 or 3 and 4, the system won't boot.

It only works on slots 1 and 3 or 2 and 4.

Don't know if there's something to change in the bios.

 :(

ALWAYS a risk, even if you buy the exact same memory, sometimes adding more ram simply causes issues. The Sticks can be different. It's not fun but the manufacturers simply don't care :(

I would try to return the ram and try another kit!

I don't think its the new ram, because I've tried only them on slots 1 and 3 and it worked. But even the old ones, on the 1 and 2 slots, it won't boot :/

It seems that my motherboard doenst like RAM on the same channel.

Are you on the newest BIOS? Ryzen is still..... not the most mature. Its way, way better than it was when it was brand new. But BIOS updates go a long way for Ryzen still.

Make sure your updated, then let us know from there.

Hmm, so you can't get it to work with any combination of sticks, in any combination of "multiple channels being populated"? I would say try and re-seat the CPU, thats really all you can try at this point...

If that doesn't work, either your CPU's IMC (integrated memory controller) or your mobo is bad :/. Itll be hard to know for sure which.
