You'll need a VDSL compatible router. Who is your ISP?

in uk onlu decent router working with vdsl is ASUS ac68u-DSL , if you have Bt original router its ok connect from bt modem to Asus Router , and then go to BT admin Panel and disable , wif and all unecessary settings on it ,
also if you know how or there is an option assign a static IP to your router on BT modem , so bt modem wont change it over time

or if you can just return it and get ac-68u-DLS but keep in mind its not wifi 6 router its 2.4 and 5ghz dual band router .

That's why you research before you buy bro.

Depending on the BT device you may be able to do a DMZ type of setup that forwards everything to your ROG device, but it'd have to be behind the BT one.
