So I have this de-lidded 2700x. I'm thinking to sell it for funding a 3000 series chip.

Just curious what you guys think.

Sell on E-bay as damaged de-lidded working no refunds?

What should I ask for it??

Generally the answer to this one is best found on eBay using the completed sales filter

Honest truth, as a buyer I would avoid a damaged or tampered CPU unless it is super cheap, and the fact that a new 2700x can be had for $140-$170 with a warranty makes buying new look like the better option. Since Ebay is full of inflated prices and bids I would just start an auction at $10 and see what happens, you will probably get more than what it's worth.

I agree with you for sure. That's why the inquiry.

Mean we do consider this tampered, but does damaged fit though? It is in working condition.

Well, it'll be tough to let go that cheap.

2 reasons.

I paid like 325$ for it.

Rare.

Call it what it is: a working delidded  2700x.  A lot of people flat out won’t want it because for them delidded is all kinds of wtf and for others almost certainly means overclocked.  eBay has sold almost everything that exists several times though.  There is a “completed sales” filter that will tell you what people have gotten for them in the past.

I don't think any one has sold their de-lidded 2700X unless it was Der8auer. Which I doubt lol. I have the only other working de-lidded 2700x (that I am aware of)

No.

The de-lid part I mean rare. Not the chip itself :P

So look on eBay and find out.  To me a delidded chip says overclocked and not a very good bin because it needed delidding which means the owner wasn’t getting a good clock off it.  So “kinda lame 2700 that has been overclocked and messed with.  Value < new chip.  To me anyway and I’m even sort of arguably in the market for an 8/16 AMD.  I flat out don’t want it.  It sounds like someone else’s problems.

I wish it where a problem chip. Then I couldn't think to sell it.

De-lidding soldered chips is my hobby. Been doing it for quite a long time now.

So it's a niche market.

Thank you for your honesty.

Yea, I better keep this chip in the OC community then.

Thanks. Will not be posted on e-bay or non OC forums. (if I decide to sell it anyways.)
