Corsair RM750x fan question

How's the fan on the RM750x actually supposed to work?

On the packaging and Corsair's site they say it kicks in at 300W power consumption but it seems to run at random.

If I start my PC and leave it at idle it'll start spinning after 1-2 hours for like 15-30 minutes.

You can hear it since the rest of my fans are Noctuas at 25% PWM and you can also feel the airflow coming out of it.

When I play games it doesn't seem to even get hot or spin the fan though.

I have the exact same psu, but usually I only see the fan spin under very heavy loads. Its possible background tasks could be to blame for the odd spinning. Seems like odd behavior to me but nothing to be worried about.

My room is typically 73-75 degrees if I can keep it there, sometimes cooler, so its on the warmer side typically but nothing extreme

but since I'm on it... what load do you put on it?

Around 20-ish degrees celsius, so not really.

Meshify C, 2x140mm intakes at front, 2x120mm back/top exhaust.

The PSU is fan side down.
