Should I use 922 HAF for new build or buy new case?

xponetial

Hi All,

I am about to refresh my 10 year old build.  I have the 922 HAF case.  Still runs great.  Should I buy a new case?  If so which case.

Going Ryzen 9 3900X

MSI X570 Carbon

PowerColor Radeon RX 5700 XT Red Devil

That question is totally on you.

Personally if I were doing a new build and I had this case, I  would do some painting and modding to make it look cool and build a modern system in it.

Main system: Ryzen 7 7800X3D / Asus ROG Strix B650E / G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO 32GB 6000Mhz / Powercolor RX 7900 XTX Red Devil/ EVGA 750W GQ / NZXT H5 Flow

I use two 922 HAF cases.

They are hard to get rid of since they keep stuff cool and that is the problem replacing them.

If I was buying now it would have to be the CM H500C Mesh. I don't like the design but I know that it will keep things cool.

For cooling and build quality I prefer the SilverStone Technology RL06BR-GP.

I can't use it in my current build since the second fan on my Noctua NH-D15 will not fit but if I went AIO or a smaller air cooler I would only buy them.

As a person with HAF 922, it is up to you. Do you want to show off your hardware? If so, then probably a new case. If you want to have lot of room for cd drives and loads of hard drives and not care about look, then stay. I quite like the HAF 922 IMO, because it looks like a tank and it good case to keep stuff cool. Can mod it if you want, like putting a psu cover and make a window on the side panel.
