Is there a point to enabling Reduced buffering if i lock my fps to my montitors refresh rate?

KayPeters123

Hey, i basically play 1 game only and im not that tech savy. The Coalition recently released Title update 2, along with that came a new graphical option, Reduced buffering. I lock my FPS to 144 regardless because it reduces load on GPU. My PC is able to get more FPS than my monitor refresh rate, but should i even turn it on if i lock my fps?

If you're limiting your framerate your also limiting how 'fresh' the frames are you see.
So leaving it unlimited and have the monitor cap it at 144FPS makes you have newer frames.
Just an FYI. ;)

When i ask for more specs, don't expect me to know the answer!

So just leave Max FPS uncapped and keep recuded buffering on?

tbh i do not know what reduced buffering is about. I'd need to google it a bit first.
But it does sound like it would be faster still. Less buffer in my head means faster picture. But i could be very wrong tho. ;)
