Need to buy a new motherboard

I need a new motherboard since i bought new ram, this weekend. I need a new motherboard that can support 3000mhz ram and the 9th generation intel processor. thanks

you usually do not need a new motherboard to change the ram.

well the ram i bought is 3000mhz and its only running at 2133mhz cause of motherboard

should be able to set it to the spec of the CPU. which is 2666mhz. 

 

which would be set in Bios.

you go into Bios and set the ramspeed. more expencive boards do this automatically, tho not all.

that might not allow to change the ramspeed, but that is 6th gen. 

 

no 9th gen board will work. you will have to look on the used market for a Z170 or Z270 board.

go from main to advances. should be an option to change it there. since its a prebuild board. its not uncommon for features that normal H series boards would have access to are locked out.

there is nothing about ram, only Intel aes-ni that i could change and 2 other stuff

That would mean. A 100 series or 200 series board to get to higher speed. 

 

Would look on the used market first as retailers are usually overpricing these parts that are nolonger being produced

been thinking about buying the MSI MAG Z390 TOMAHAWK is my cpu capable on that motherboard

No you need a 100 or 200 series or to buy a 8th/9th gen CPU to work on a Z390.

Wrong socket/chipset

 

6000 series only do 100 and 200 seires boards.

 

8th gen and 9th gen use 300 series boards. 

 

These sockets are not intercompatible.

The mobo doesnt work with the 9400f. Nor any other 8th or 9th gen CPU

9400f works with 300 series boards. 

 

The 6600 works with 100 and 200 series boards. 

 

300 series use the 1151v2 socket. 

 

100 and 200 series use the 1151v1.

 

These two are not intercompatible.
