BIOS or Windows installer cant see NVME drive

Whalelicker

So i am putting together new HTPC, as always. I have Gigabyte B450M S2H mobo with athlon 3000G.

But i have a problem with Intel 660p drive, it isnt recognized anywhere, nor in BIOS (F41) nor in windows installer. I tried everything that came to my mind. Also if i put it in anouther PC, the drive works as usual.

Any ideas?

Got an updated BIOS to the board?

Are you sure the 660p is known good?

Is your BIOS config'd properly to see nVME drives?

NOTE: I no longer frequent this site. If you really need help, PM/DM me and my e.mail will alert me.

Tried a lot of BIOSes, not even F50 works. 660p works in other PC so it should be fine. BIOS is configured correctly to my knowledge.

So the BIOS is current.

What is the exact model of mobo?

Let me research...

God dammit. That slipped past me. Thank you.

What now though, get a different Mobo or change the NVMe for SATA.

Well, to be honest, if it's an HTPC usage, then NVME isn't really needed anyway, so I'd just get a decent SATA m.2 like a crucial mx500 or similar.

Thats a bit annoying. Since 660p is cheaper then all proper SATA drives. If i were to switch mobos. Please check this one, if i didnt missed anything again.  https://www.asrock.com/MB/AMD/B450M Pro4-F/index.asp#Specification

- 1 x Ultra M.2 Socket (M2_1), supports M Key type 2242/2260/2280 M.2 PCI Express module up to Gen3 x4 (32 Gb/s) (with Matisse, Picasso, Summit Ridge, Raven Ridge and Pinnacle Ridge) or Gen3 x2 (16 Gb/s) (with Athlon 2xxGE series APU)**

Seeing as the CPU you have is an APU, I'm not sure if it counts as a matisse, but it will work anyway, just might be at x2 instead of x4.
