point and shoot for my parents

hi myparents are going on vacation and the really want a camera I have been looking at oldflagship phones that can double as a travel phone and as a camera as my old g4 did a good job at that last time I travelled but thought maybe a dedicated point and shoot might do a better job

budget:around $200 CAD

Requirements: user friendly they should nn't have to mess with the camera settings much

I just need some reccomendations so I know what's out there. I dont know anything about this space so I just need a bit of guidance

I'd just get an iPhone 6. The Canon Elph line is pretty good as well...honestly, though, I'd just see what goes on the best sale during Black Friday and pick that.

Or, if you can find something like a V20/V30, they'd probably be quite cheap and decent as well.

good. yeah sorry I'll try to be more conscious about punctuation and formatting. I usually pop on here through mobile and not on my PC. and my mindset while using mobile isn't exactly the same. most of the time I'm just trying my best not to miss keystrokes on the touchscreen with my fat fingers.
