Asus tuf gaming fx505gm is not running Tails nor installing Qubes os!!!

Hello all,

 

For weeks now I've been trying to launch Tails OS and (from a usb stick) and install Qubes OS (on a usb stick) and I've got no luck so far, for some reason every attempt failed, I tried every possible configuration and combination in BIOS settings with the exception of (disabling UEFI) since I couldn't find a way to do that, and still Tails and Qubes won't run nor install on my Asus tuf gaming fx505gm. On the other hand, I ran both on a friend's older Sony laptop and both launched successfully!!!

 

This is what happens on my laptop, Tails launches the welcoming screen :

 

 

But then when I click on "Start Tails" nothing happens, or even the computer shuts down!!

Here is where it gets stuck. Unfortunately I'm not big on linux, in fact I've never worked with it before, but I don't think that's the problem lol.

 

Any help is greatly appreciated.

On Qubes, X Cant start, that is usually a Video Driver issue. What graphics card do you have?

Tails, you would need to provide a logcat.

Thanks for your replay mate, my laptop came with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060.

A quick search for the term "Logcat" returned a lot of results related to android, if you don't mind could you please elaborate on how does that work ?
