RTX 2070 fan clicking (almost sounds like crickets) how do I fix it?

I got a new PC about a month ago and for the last few weeks the GPU fan has been clicking, getting louder and more obnoxious the faster it spins

 

I'm not a particularly tech savvy person especially when it comes to DIY repairs, how exactly would I diagnose the problem exactly and where could I find how to fix it?

have you checked to see if any cables are touching the fan or if something else possibly is hitting it?
